Privacy Policy

This page describes what data World Radio Central collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and your rights over it. We try to keep the language plain.
What we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password. Optionally a display name and avatar.
- Listening preferences. Your favourite stations and your recently played history, so we can surface them when you return.
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.
- Basic analytics. Aggregate page views and traffic patterns. We do not track individual users across the web.
What we do not collect
- Third-party advertising identifiers.
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
- Your location, beyond country-level inferred from IP for our own analytics.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication (so you stay logged in) and preferences (theme, recently played). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. See our Cookies Policy for the full list.
Third parties we work with
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase). Stores our database and handles authentication.
- Cloudflare. Hosts the website and serves it through their CDN.
- Unsplash. Provides editorial photography for the journal. Image URLs are loaded directly from their CDN.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We do not sell any data to anyone.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or request that we delete your account and associated data. Email privacy@worldradiocentral.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Under GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California), you have additional rights including data portability and the right to object to processing. Email us and we will honour them.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
